Hi Tonymacx86,

will there be any further MultiBeast updates for Mac OS Snow Leopard ?

most Apps in the world of digital audio and virtual instruments have not upgraded to Lion yet so Snow Leopard is still the platform right now.

I have noticed that the latest Chimera 1.6 Update has not been incorporated into MultiBeast Snow Leopard Edition.

same question.
and: is this fix the same fix that is circulating using a perl hack?

I've got a P6T WS Pro with a Xeon CPU.
Originally installed with 10.7 and combo updated to 10.7.2. Used multibeast and a User DSDT.aml. I ran this new Multibeast and the system kernel panic'd. The installer didn't finish. The system rebooted automatically b/c I've got it set to in settings. System wouldn't boot at all. Tried -v with no success. Luckily there's not much on this computer and I can easily re-install. I have created a new USB installer of 10.7.2 that I re-downloaded from the Mac App store with Unibeast. I did a fresh install with the same edited DSDT.aml and using this new Multibeast. I now have sleep!!! This is awesome b/c I've never had sleep before. I did have run the voodoo HDA and the IOAHCIBlockStorageInjector to get my HDD's to show the correct Icon's. Thank you for all your hard work.

Can I use This Trim Enabler for my MBPro 2011 early?
I bought Samsung SSD and it's not support Trim automatically.
What do you think about that? Can anyone answer for me?

It is highly NOT recommended to use ANY hackintosh-ing tools for a working Mac. Check with Apple.

Please still support Snow Leopard. I gave Lion a chance for 2 week and couldn't stand it!

@ Anonymous 7:30 AM:

Use the TRIM Enabler 2.0 instead.

Is there anything special to do before updating from previous 4.1 version?
I have ga-z68x-ud4-b3 board. And I really dont remember what i selected when installing 4.1 :)

Installing Chimera to my Lion drive on my laptop causes it to panic. Requires a Time Machine restore to get things up and running. I can install Chimera to a separate UniBeast partition, which does not cause KP. Any help on installing Chimera?

repeated failed installations, tho some of it is getting through as boot logo has changed. anyone want some logs?

SLEEP, WA, TRIM
WAKE WITH NO BIOS LOSS!!!!
WOW!

Olivier75009 said...

Installations failed if I select multiple stuffs. Enabling TRIM alone, for example, works but gave me a 1000 points less on Geekbench. Actually, for those interested in having TRIM enabled, apart if you own an old SSD it is un-necessary as they got garbage collections working far better than TRIM and are OS independents.

Is this going to fix the reason why my BIOS seems to be resetting to a non-good configuration with crashes and sometimes (maybe? not sure) going to sleep? Important configurations like ICH SATA Control Mode, Onboard SATA/IDE Ctrl Mode, and more are changed when this happens.

Intalled few kexts including new Chimera and got my hack stuck. The desktop is being loaded and I can only move the mouse and can't open any app not only with mouse but also with keyboard. Only rBoot helps me to load the "working" OS but I still cannot shut it down, it works all the time until I press and hold the power button.
Could somebody help me with this problem, please?

I have a Asus P5Q motherboard, graphics card, saw multıbeast have installed, but no internet, no sound what can I do ?

Anonymous said...

you must reinstall kexts for sound and ethernet and don't forget to repair permissions before restarting the computer.

I as well have had multiple failed installs, GA-P35-DS4 2.83 Intel Quad-Core, 4Gig RAM; Nvidia 9800GT.

Really would like to get to the bottom of this, because booting from my install USB is not ideal.

USB 3.0 still doesn't work as it supposed to. External HDD stops to show up in finder ocassionally, and only reboot helps. So only usb2.0 for stable work for now...

Is there anyway to get previous versions of MultiBeast?

I really want 4.1 back.

I stupidly updated to the current (4.2.1) and I'm having more issues than I can count.

To installl Lion with Multibeast... do we still use iBoot as with Snow?

Can anyone add to multibeast support to graphic card ATI HD 5730?

In theory is supported by Lion, but no way to make it work.
Specifically is mounted on an ASUS N71JQ.
Device ID 0x68D8

Thanks a lot

This simply does not work on my Gigabyte Z68XP-UD3P / i7 2700K - initially worked (meaning application completed) but got kernel panic. Checked User dst custom aml for MB (correct bios version) repair caches etc and version mac pro 5.1. Rerunning MB 4.2 comes up as installation failed and KP prevails.. Went back to version 4.1.0 and this worked flawlessly.
..more work to do I think.

All my internal SATA drives are now seen as external.
I installed IOAHCIBlockStorageInjector.kext but same after reboot
I then installed the 3rdParty SATA, but same after reboot

What do I do wrong, it was working fine before, with Multibeast 4.1.

Config: Asus P8H67-m pro + Core i5 2500 + 16Gb RAM + Radeon HD 6850 dual screens

Using Unibeast on an Acer Aspire i5 laptop I was not able to get past the apple first screen. The installation did not start. It would just hang at the first apple screen. What can be done, please help?
