Updated from 10.6.7 Everything works out of the box!:)))

H67M-D2-B3 rev. 1.1. F4
Intel Core i5 2300
GeForce 8400 GS 128 MB

Installer boot - npci=0x2000
After install - the same. The ran MultiBeast with user DSDT + FakeSMC, FakeSMC plugins, IOPCIFamily Fix, 64 bit Apple Boot Screen. Didn't need flag at the boot anymore.

Then enabled audio with - ALC8XXHDA and AppleHDA Rollback. Network - Realtek Gigabit Ethernet 2.0.6. Video - just added device id to NVDANV50Hal.kext (in my case 10c3:10de), ran KextUtility, rebooted and everything worked just out of the box!!!:)))

Thak you guys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:)))))))))))))))))

Any news on direct Lion Installation (meaning without having SL installed)?

Thanks!

Yes, that´s alright. But once I boot the system straight to the "Installer" partition an fnisehd installing Mac OS onto the "Snow Leopard" partition I can´t boot no more. Not even with the last version of iBoot CD. It simple hangs the machine.
I tried in VirtualBox 4.1 without efi checked and in my netbook (Asus G73JW)
What I mean is that I can´t boot a "just installed" Lion partition. Not even with iBoot cd. Not even booting Mac OS X Lion partition installer from a pendrive.

Thanks Tony.

The hardest part of the imove Lion process for me was figuring out where the button was in App store to buy the thing. All that marketing crap and the button is tiny and oddly labeled.

Installer partition just KP every single time.

Can't watch video, ever since I upgraded to Lion I see the black screen when I watch you tube. Well at least most other things work except audio is kinda choppy.

I still haven't figured out what xMove actually does, and why it is needed on a hackintosh, but not on a real Mac...

Hi, all.
I have p55m ud2 rev1.0, sapphire 5850extreme. I'm using DSDT.aml bios f11 from tonymacx86. It's work great on 10.6.8. But I cannot upgrade to lion using xmove.
If I change my video card to sapphire 4850, I can upgrade to lion.
Is there something wrong with sapphire 5850 extreme.

I try using kakewake for clean install.
- with ati 4850, it works but each time its sleep, it resets cmos.
- with 5850 extreme, i can install lion and login if i use easybeast, but sound and network are not work.
If i use DSDT.aml i only see a background picture, no menu and so on.

Is it something wrong with the DSDT or my sapphire 5850 extreme.
Please help me. Thank you so much.

Wondering the same thing. Has anyone tried to directly install lion? I will be tomorrow night as I have just built my first hackintosh rig. Any advice as I move forward? I was also just thinking of going back to snow leopard as I haven't been overly impressed with lion thus far. Thoughts?

Rick, I tried to install 10.7 using the method described here but never got it to boot properly from the partition, I did a clean install starting from zero using Kakewalk in my other hard drive and reinstalled a bootloader and finally almost everything worked fine, except audio which I had to enable using voodooHDA, AppleHDA won't let me to choose devices from the preferences pane but I still want to get back to AppleHDA; and Sleep which was disabled and it's not properly working on this built, I'm still figuring out how to put it to sleep without causing a mess in CMOS when restarting.

its really easy to do a clean install. make a usb install stick. used it on a hackintosh and my macbook. google is your friend

Another way for Apple to give us a hard time. Or maybe the obvious which is the current tools we are using needs to be upgraded for Lion.

great
would be great to have the end on the install on a custom PC ;-)

I did a USB fresh install with

1 Restore the BaseSystem.dmg to USB
2 Remove Packages symlink in USB/System/Installation/Packages
3 Copy the Packages from Lion/Packages to USB/System/Installation/Packages
4 Copy the kernel from Lion/mach_kernel to USB/mach_kernel
5 Copy FakeSMC.kext to USB/System/Library/Extensions
6 Install Chameleon 2 RC5 VS to USB
7 Copy the Extra to USB/Extra

Try boot from USB

*** For P55 chipsets it's required to copy the IOUSBFamily / IOUSBMassStorage to USB/System/Library/Extensions or else you would not have usb input devices to work with

This video is not complete.

Why not making another video to demonstrate Lion can be installed this way? And finally show us you're running Lion...

It's a pity that almost every Gigabyte Mobo is supported and others are not, I, for an instance, am using Gateway...

I cannot install X-move to the installer partition it keeps failing

jeetendra said...

well while using xmove, make sure that the installer.dmg (installer package) file is mounted then try to xmove....

and the thing that u cannot connecte to appstore, check that ur mac is defined like... click on a apple icon then system preferences n go to more info n check whether ur system is defined as 31 macpro or something... if not use multibeast , under customisation head select the one which best suits u n then try to connect to appstore... hope it helped you....
