Is there a guide anywhere for how to "install" the new dsdt that we download. I am a hopeless noobie, but have made it this far and just wish there was a solid guide for how to use the dsdt.aml file I just downloaded.

Oh, and something on how to get my audio up and running.

Spockie said...

Thanks. I was wondering what DSDT was all about. Now I'm fully glued up.

p.s. Great tutorial, simple and effective, which even I could understand.

Bob said...

yeah, so, my mobo type isn't listed on the DSDT download page. I'm not sure which one I need.

Bob said...

so, ya, that video explain very little in regard to the DSDT download page. it looks like more time was spent on the video than was thinking up a one line answer to the question. that's pretty much just a googleable answer cut short. no offense or anything.

Anyone know where to get DSDT for Lenovo notebook T61, Graphic Adaptor GM965, wide screen 14.1?

Can't find in the database at http://www.tonymacx86.com/dsdt.php under "Laptop" menu item, it only shows HP Probook 4530s. I think my mother board is Intel as it uses Intel chipset 82801H (ICH8 Family) PCI Express, USB UHCI/EHCI Controller, and Mobile SATA AHCI Controller.

When I chose the "Intel" menu item from the drop down list of "Choose your motherboard" I got two menu items to choose "P55" and "X58". Can someone help to advise how to verify whether my mother board is P55 or X58. When I clicked on P55, it showed 4 more DSDT items: DP55KG, DP55SB, DP55WB and DP55WG. Again how to know which one to download?
Thanks
