We're working on a solution for Mac OS X Lion Installation using the retail Lion USB Thumb that will not require access to a Mac. There is no ETA for this as of yet. ;)

I followed this video and did everything exactly the same, it restarted fine but when I shutdown and try to turn it back on it stays in the apple logo screen for a while then shows a circle with a line going across above the apple logo. Can anyone please help me. Thank you.

What motherboard did you use in this install?

This doesn't work on my USB sticks, I've tried numerous times with a couple of downloads. Gives failure message and says I should check with "the software manufacturer." I'm using a Dell Mini 9 with Snow Leopard X.6.7.

I'm using a GA-Z68MA-D2H-B3 board with onboard video. I have tried a 500gb SATA drive as well as a 64GB SS SATA drive. I created a Unibeast USB as show above (using the Lion Disk). Bootloader comes up fine, but when I select it goes to the white/grey apple and spins for a few minutes then hangs. I have checked and re-checked my settings. Any advice? Should I get the custom Unibeast made? I'm happy to donate either way, you rock!

Why don't you include ElliotForceRTC.kext ?
I installed Lion on a GA-EX58-UD3R but after installation finihed and reboot i got CMOS reset.
I then manually added ElliotForceRTC.kext to Extra folder on USB
(ShowAllFiles) and the problem was solved
