At long last! Lnx2Mac has released a new public beta version of his Realtek RTL81xx ethernet driver. It now supports every single Gigabyte 1156/1155/1366 motherboard that uses a Realtek ethernet controller!
Read all of the details and download the official installer on Lnx2Mac's Blog.

OMG thanx thanx thanx! Previous one not working for me(ga-z68ap-d3)
Awesome, but what is the difference with the Official driver that comes on Multibeast?
works in GA-X58A-UD3R - 2.0?
And love for ASUS anymore it seems...
WakeOnDemand is working great. Using a TimeCapsule, can now wake when accessing EyeTV, iTunes homeshared libraries etc. Tested it from an iPad. Had to use kernel flag darkwake=0 in lion to avoid the wake and immediate shutdown (which also fixed the problem with power button wake having to hit it twice). Thanx.
sudo ifconfig en0 ether 01:23:45:67:89:ab working?
Awesome, I hope this solved the problem of no network after sleep if static IP is set. Thanks!
Ok it's working.
But first I have KP at restart because of the VoodooHDA driver. You are going to say:"Nothing to do" but after restarting 3 times with KP, I decided to delete the RealtekRTL81xx.kext and the VoodooHDA.kext restart and install the RealtekRTL81xx-0_0_90.pkg first... restart (without problem) than install my VoodooHDA.kext again... and It work...
Maybe this can help someone...
This is very welcome news! Unfortunately, the earlier version of Lnx2Mac's driver had no support for the onboard NIC on most of the inexpensive Z68-based sandy bridge Gigabyte boards. You had to resort to using the official Realtek driver instead. While the official driver worked, albeit with a few quirks and incompatibilities depending on the setup.
This new driver not only works, but it seems to work *faster* than the official Realtek driver. Most noticeable is performance when copying to and from Windows 7 Samba partitions on the local network. Testing hasn't been exhaustive just yet, but transfer times with this new driver have so far been quicker, which seems to mirror the experience that other lucky users had boards that were supported by Lnx2Mac's earlier driver release.
Great work, and thank you!
Does this also support the Realtek RTL 8191SE (Wireless)??
Tonymacx86, thanks for helping spread the word !
I can confirm that this works on the on my msi h67ma-e45 b3 (Lion).
Works fine on x58a-ud3r v2, thanks a lot!
Hopefully the next release will support the 8167 in the asus sabertooth x58
Works fine with GA-Z68X-UD5-B3! No, not only works, fix all my Problems!
Great work!
Works great with GA-Z68MX-UD2H-B3. Thank you a lot, now my hackintosh is stable as a rock!!!
Works on my GA-Z68X-UD5-B3. I had to remove existing IONetworkFamily/plugins/AppleRTL8169Ethernet.kext manually, in order to use new RealtekRTL81xx.kext (Lnx2Mac). Noticed after wake up - NIC is ready almost instantly. No issues so far...
work fine on P8P67 .
thank u for a great job!
:)
Ciao tonymacx86.
Oggi stò provando ad installare Hazard 1.6.6i sul mio pc desktop::
MB: Asus Rampage 2Gene
SV: ATI Sapphire HD 5770.
Cpu: Intel (R) CORE (TM) i7 CPU920*2.67GHz
Ho provato al avviarlo in diveri modi::
busratio=20
busratio=20-x-v
-v cpus=1 busratio=20
Ma il DVD non si avvia in nessun caso, o il pc si riavvia, o sul simbolo della mela appare il simbolo del divieto.
Grazie mille...
Had to remove my bluetooth dongle, from one USB port to another, after that my bluetooth keyboard came back. so far so good on my ASUS|P7P55D-E PRO P55 R, 8GB Ram, Intel Quar Core i7.
Thanks!
It seems that there is a conflict between the RTL81xx and VoodooHDA(2.7.3) drivers on my machine. I tried installing the RTL81xx first, then the VoodooHDA first. Same results. I get KP every time. If I remove on or the other I have no issue.
Any body else with this scenario? I am using a P7H55-m MB with Intel onboard audio and Realtek RTL8111 Ethernet.
I am getting a self-assigned address at start-up lately. Have to plug in a USB adapter, upon restart it usually comes back up. Very strange GA-Z68A-D3-B3
Thanks a ton for sharing the update..its very hard to find Driver Download some times!
Thanks to Tonymacx86 team and Lnx2Mac. More power!
It works on my Asus P5B.
Thanks, Lnx2Mac! Just put together my first Hackintosh from tonymacx86 recommended Sandy Bridge build. Did the new Unibeast Lion 10.7 install and everything worked great out of the box... except the network driver 0.67 that was installed as part of post install Multibeast config. Installed the 0.90 version from Lnx2Mac's site and now all is flawless. Thanks, guys!
