Today MacMan updated Chimera to version 1.5.4 with a FaceTime fix for OS X Lion.
Chimera v1.5.4 Changes:
- Based on Chameleon 2.0 revision 1394
- FaceTime Fix for OS X Lion 10.7.x - Credit to olegpronin
- New boot flag required for RAID 0 boot only - SkipFTFix=Yes
- Disables the FaceTime Fix code that is currently incompatible with RAID 0. Thanks to Lnx2Mac for the idea.
- Added additional GTX 570 device id
- Changed default frame buffer to Bullrushes for all 6670 and 6450 models
- Added card-specific GraphicsEnabler information for the following:
- 3 additional Radeon HD 6870 models
- 1 additional Radeon HD 6850 model
- 1 additional Radeon HD 6750 model
- 2 additional Radeon HD 6670 models
NOTE: Proper drivers are required for full graphics support.

Thanks!
what about intel 2000HD?
Which HD6750 works? :O
Nice one, hopefully the 570 device id is for 860.
That means it will be identified properly doesnt it?
I still have graphics artifacts. Squares, lines ...
It will be fixed? Or do I need to buy the external graphics card?

Waiting for ibooot...
@ budiosx
Chimera has the code for the HD2000 but OS X does not support it. So until Apple supports it or someone comes up with a hacked driver it won't work.
Special Thanks to MacMan, olegpronin, Lnx2Mac and for You - TonyMacX86 Blog ! ! !
@gffmac
The GTX 570 id added was 10de:1086.
@ Anonymous
The 6570 added was a Sapphire card, but has no default frame buffer defined. If you can get me the correct frame buffer we will add it as the default.
@ Anonymous
When using the HD3000 the amount of allowable video RAM is:
288MB when using 2GB RAM
384MB when using 4GB RAM
? when using 8GB RAM or more
@MacManx86 that's what I meant mate lol good news ill try later
what about ATI HD5830?
@Anonymous
The HD 5830 is not supported by OS X. So if it gets added it would require hacking the drivers and there is no guarantee that it would work.
That is why we always recommend only the models that OS X supports out of the box.

I have a Sapphire HD5750, just wondered if the HD6570 working. My HD5750 don't. When the next iBoot and Multibeast will release, I'll try with Vervet. Maybe the HD6750 require Device ID change, like the HD6770. Wait... HD6750 or HD6570? :D On the list there's HD6750.
Are all brands for 6850 and 6870 supported? If not, which are?
Multibeast when update Chimera 1.5.4?
Is this recommended only for those running Lion, or should those of us still on Snow Leopard upgrade, too?
You guys cease to amaze me. Support everywhere...I check on here almost everyday to make sure that something new has not gone up!!!
Rocking Tony
Wahooooo FaceTime!! At last!! :D
I knew you guys could do it
GTX 570 working great!!
Note for those who had previously been using
Graphics Mode
to boot, you need to remove these otherwise it wont boot, or maybe just because of the empty value.
Will this version install on WD HD´s with 4k and boot?
That would be amazing to ban my fdd....
Guys I want to use my Apple Led Cinema Display 27" with my hackpro bluild 4. I need a full enabled video card because I have to use 3D programs like autocad, Cinema 4d... and photoshop. WHICH video card is better and is FULLY RECOGNISED and FULLY WORKING?
Hi, does this include Xeon x3xx cpu detection ? Current version does not, it detects as i7 instead.
Nice one! Worth the wait!
Thanks Tony!
Where to find the source code?
Dude i love it works perfecto!!!!!!!!!!
Would it support native BIOS RAID 0 setup?
I have two WD 2TB and when I set them up as RAID 0 on Marvell's drivers in the BIOS of my GigaByte Z68X-UD3P-B3, I enter in the Lion Installation -> Disk Utility and cannot see any HDD.
Thanks for all.
OMG thank you so much :)
still don't work for me, I get FaceTime Failed every time. My iPhone will ring when I call it but fails. But if I call from my macbbok pro to my iPhone its ok. so still a mackintosh problem somewhere.....
@MacManx86
Any idea why with the GTX 570 (10de:1086) I can only get full gfx acceleration when booting with -v ??
Also worthy of mention, this release contains boot0hfs, the MBR template file you need to write in order to not clobber windows dual booting on the same drive. The previous release, 1.5.3, had it missing.
Thanks Tony!
When ever I call from my iPhone 4 to my "Mac," it fails instantly. However if I call my iPhone 4 from my "Mac," it works perfectly. I'm not sure if this is still a bug in the booter, but it could also be a bug in the version of iOS 5 that I'm beta testing.
Thanks you very much! I just updated and Facetime is working now.
Thanks. Facetime works after updating. Truly impressive work.
Awesome! Worked for me too :D
Great work guys
when the iBoot will have chimera 1.5.4 installed?
What about Intel GMA HD? Please make one macman please!
Waiting for source code ...
@ Anonymous
The source is now available at http://forge.voodooprojects.org/p/chameleon/.

Intel GMA HD support is dependent on Apple. Since they never released a product that supported only it without a switchable additional GPU, it most likely will never be supported.
I have a MSI 6850, it works OOB but the secondary DVI port doesn't work. Will this fix it?
Kabooka why don't you try?
Thanks for the Facetime fix!! Can you explain in simple terms how Chimera fixed this?
... does not work for me :-( ...
i´m still gettin this "server error" ....
@MacManx86

Thanks for all.
I installed this and now my machine won't boot. I know this is too vague to troubleshoot but is there a way I can revert back to an older version through the terminal?
No light at the end of the tunnel for the Intel HD 2000.
According to MacManx86
"Chimera has the code for the HD2000 but OS X does not support it. So until Apple supports it or someone comes up with a hacked driver it won't work."
Since Apple already refreshed their entire product line up, and the weakest they have is the HD3000. Don't see the MAC OSX supporting the HD 2000 any time soon.
Unless someone Hacks it. :D
I don't know why? I always get desktop frozen(mouse can move, but can not click anything on desktop) after I install this version.
Regarding to the sentense of "New boot flag required for RAID 0 boot only - SkipFTFix=Yes",Pls let me knowand hope to have any response/anser from the expert for OSX86/Hacintoh.
Q1: Which of Plist should I edit ?
Q2: Does this settng provide me the benefit when I will make the RAID0 config with two of high speed SSD on the ICH10R RAID config ?
Hey, can my XFX 6790 run a hackintosh well?
Is the ATI Radeon Hd 6470M supported? In the ati.c there is any entry for it?
did not change anything for me. I am oh HP 8540w with Nvidia Quadro with cuda. server error keeps coming back. :( Any solution?
Is /Extra/DSDT.aml still a default path in Chimera 1.5.4?
I've upgraded to the 1.5.4 release of Chimera and suffering all sorts of issues, both on my drive and using the rBoot disk which also uses 1.5.4.
When the machine boots the mouse is very jerky and there is no ability to use the keyboard at all.
Machine was working fine of a previous install of Chimera besides the facetime/iCloud fixes I was looking for in 1.5.4.
Any ideas?
tony, if you still reading this post, i've got some questions about gigabyte 6670, which you suggested in customac builds. I installed new 1.5.4 Chimera, reboot and I got infinitely restarting computer(it restarts right behind the entering in system) Hope to have some help from you, sorry for my terrible english =)
